Christmas 2020

Please read this information and FAQ page to answer all your questions about ordering with Clark Butchers

The festive period at the shop can get very busy and with uncertain times ahead, we decided to put extra measures in place to help reduce queueing times. We are very conscious that customer wait times can be very frustrating, so here are a few changes we’re implementing to help combat this and hopefully make your whole shopping experience less stressful.

If not ideal, we are trying our hardest with large number of customers, limited space, ever-changing guidelines, and uncertain times ahead to give you the best quality and service we can.

We may not get it right as often as we would like, so we really do appreciate your patience and understanding during these crazy times.

                                            Thank you x

ONLINE ORDERING

This year, you have the option to order your Christmas goodies online. Although taking orders in person at the shop is welcomed, with a ‘one-customer in the shop policy’ in place, it has the potential to hold up the waiting queue. Having the option to order online is one way we hope to help with this issue in the lead up to Christmas.

FREE LOCAL DELIVERY

We are now offering FREE local delivery. This should help keep queueing times down and of course, is a great option for those who cannot make it to the shop for whatever reason.

DEDICATED COLLECTION POINT

We are pleased to announce that we now have ‘Collection Point’ for customers collecting and paying for their orders. This is located in our next-door shop – The Highland Deli. There will be a one-way system in place which can safely allow four people in the shop at any time and with the cold and wet weather upon us already, it should make collection quicker and less painful.

COLLECTION TIME-SLOTS

We are excited to now offer ‘time-slots’ for customers collecting their online orders. Time-slots will be available for orders being collected from ‘The Deli’ Monday 21st December

We feel time-slots are a great addition to our ordering system and not only will it help reduce queueing times, free up the butchers counter for customers buying produce, it may help with the sheer number of people congregating outside the shop when social distancing is still in place.

Time-slots will fill up and become unavailable once a certain number is reached leaving only the next available slots for you to choose from. With that in mind, we recommend placing your order early to have the option of your favoured slot.

Time-slots will be offered to all ‘collection’ orders placed online, in person, and over the phone.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer time slots for home delivery

Please see our FAQ section below but if you can’t find what you’re looking for, or require any further information, please don’t hesitate to call us on 01667 453221 to talk to one of our friendly team.

Some frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay when I place my order?

If ordering online, payment will be taken.

If placing your order over the phone or in person, payment will not be taken and you will pay on collection.

Some items are not available to purchase online?

Unfortunately, we are unable to list all items on our website, please call to speak to one of our staff if there is something you would like but do not see online.

Can I collect my order from the Butchers shop?

In the weeks leading up to Christmas, if there are no queues at the butchers shop, you can collect from either there or The Deli.

We kindly ask all customers during the busy Christmas week, to collect their order from the Deli. This will free-up the queue at the butchers counter for customers wishing to only purchase products.

What happens if I miss my time-slot for collection

Although we have enabled time-slots for collecting, it is not imperative that you stick to your time-slot.

We have created this new systems in the hope that the majority of customers will collect their order within their time-slot, we understand that some customers may not make their time-slot but the system is in place purely to reduce queuing and wait times.

Will I have to wait in all day for my delivery?

We don’t need customers to be present when delivery is made, however, please leave instruction of a ‘safe place’ and/or suitable container where our driver can leave your order in the event that nobody is home. If placing your order online, this can be done on the checkout page.

I have placed an order but need to change it?

No problem, please call us and we can manually change your order.

Can I get a delivery if I don't live in Nairn?

Our online ordering system will only give the option for delivery if the shipping address is an IV12 postcode.

If you live just outside Nairn but do not have an IV12 postcode, you will only have the option to place your order for collection.

However, we can deliver to outlying towns and villages but please call us first to arrange this.

Can I place an order for delivery for my elderly parents/relatives?

Yes, if you would like to gift a family member a Christmas order, please just fill out the ‘Deliver to a different address’ section on the checkout page.

why can I only choose certain dates for collection/delivery?

There are some products which are only available during Christmas week, if any of these items are in your basket, our system will only allow the order to go through on Christmas week.

All items which are only available during Christmas week are clearly marked in the product information.

We may have to mark products ‘out of stock’, if stock becomes unavailable. Order early to avoid disappointment.
